About Jeffrey Raff,
Ph.D
Dr. Raff has been a Jungian Analyst
in private practice in Colorado for over 35 years. He has devoted
himself not only to work with individuals but to the study of the
inner world. In this pursuit he has developed original ideas for
understanding the nature of the spiritual quest and the ways in
which it may be pursued. His ideas on the imagination, the transpsychic
realm, and inner figures combine to convey an original and exciting
spiritual path. Moreover, his teachings on the relationship with
the spiritual entity known as the Ally offer a path of love and
relatedness that creates a bond between human and divine.
In addition to his private practice,
Dr. Raff is a well known teacher of Jungian thought, alchemy, kabbalah
and related topics. His writings include "The Ally" and "The Felt
Vision" in The Sacred Heritage, and "Jung and the Alchemical
Imagination" in Alexandria 5. In his first book, Jung
and the Alchemical Imagination he develops his theory of the
Ally, the psychoid or transpersonal realm, and the nature of inner
transformation. His second book, Healing the Wounded God,
written with Linda Vocatura, will be published this Spring by Nicolas-Hays
and develops the themes of the Ally and its transformation of both
the human and divine realms. His third book, to be published soon,
is called The Wedding of Sophia and, basing itself on the
alchemical masterpiece, Aurora Consurgens, which portrays
the Goddess Sophia and a psychoidal being awaiting union with God.
Dr. Raff received
his Ph.D. in Psychology from Union Graduate School and attended
the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich from which he graduated in 1976.
